The Tamworth born winger was rejected by the Baggies before signing for Villa at the age of just 8 years old.
Marc’s competitive debut came in ‘that’ UEFA Cup tie away in Moscow against CSKA in February 2009. He scored his first goal for the club in Villa’s Peace Cup run during pre-season of 2009. The goal came in a 3-1 victory over Atlante.
Albrighton began the 10/11 season brightly with 2 assists in the opening game of the season against West Ham United. Villa winning 3-0 on the day. His first league goal came in October 2010 against Spurs.
Marc also received his first sending off for his boyhood team after 2 bookable offences against Burnley in the League Cup of that same year.
The tricky winger has been a fan of the club since a very yougn age and list Benito Carbone and David Ginola as his role models from a young age. He has also often been compared to England legend David Beckham due to his crossing ability at his young age.
He has currently made 44 appearances in claret and blue, scoring 6 goals and making 7 assists.
