Interview with…. Shaun Teale
Article By Dave Beeston1 Comment »Dec 2, 2011
I had the great honour recently to be able to question Shaun Teale about his career whilst at the mighty Villa.
Shaun kindly accepted our offer to be questioned about his time at Villa & also give his current views of the club where he made 147 appearances & also scored 2 goalsWhat was your favourite ever Villa game?
My favourite game at Villa has to be the Tranmere semi final at Villa Park back in ’94. The atmosphere was electric and of course we went to Wembley that year
Who was the hardest player you came up against whilst commanding the back line?
Ian Wright has to be the one that springs to mind, he never stopped talking!
Who stood out for you while you was at Villa?
Paul McGrath – he was just so talented.
What was your best memory?
The look on all the villa fans faces when we beat Man United at Wembley
Who in the current side has stood out for you?
My favourite current player would have to be Gabby. Simply because he seems to realise its about working
What are your feelings towards the current regime at the club?
I think we are now a selling club and will be average for years
Would you ever consider taking the managers job at Villa?
I definitely would!
Sadly this week, we lost a legend in Gary Speed, do you have any thoughts or memories on the great man himself?
It’s a big shock & a real tragedy, we may never know the reason why. But as I’ve already said, he was a Premier League legend and a really nice person
From everyone here at AVillaFan.com, we would like to thank Shaun for taking time out of his busy schedule & being able to answer our questions.
I hope we can able to get a few more Villa legends to answer our questions soon. But, we would like to welcome back Shaun sometime soon & maybe be able to answer your questions in the near future.
Once again, thank you Shaun
