The young Austrian began his career at boyhood club Rapid Vienna, aged only 13 years. He spent 3 years in the youth setup at Vienna before Villa signed him as a 16 year old in 2007. He signed a professional deal in 2008 when he turned 18 years old.

Andreas took part in the pre-season competition The Peace Cup in 2009, which Villa won thanks to a penalty shoot out victory over Italian side Juventus. He finished as the Premier Reserve League South top goalscorer at the end of the 09/10 season, with 9 goals. After impressing for Villa’s second string, the Austrian earnt a contract extension until June 2012.

In May 2010, Wiemann was part of the Hong Kong Soccer Sevens winning side, a highlight being his hat-trick against the Yau Yee League Select side.

Weimann scored 2 goals against Walsall in a pre-season friendly for Villa. He made his home debut in a pre-season friendly against Valencia. He came on a substitute. His league debut came as a 86th minute substitute in Villa’s 3-0 opening day victory against West Ham United in August 2010. He came off the bench against his boyhood club, Rapid Vienna, in the Europa League. However, he was injured only 3 minutes later and didn’t return to full fitness until January 2011.

Once he returned to fitness, Andreas joined Watford in January 2011 on a youth loan deal until the end of the season. His first goal for the London club came in his league debut against Crystal Palace. The youth loan deal, meant Weimann could still play for the Villa reserve side while being at Watford. He scored 4 goals in 18 league games for Watford.

Weimann has made only 1 league appearance for Villa, and is yet to represent his national side.
