Danish paper BT are reporting that Villa have had a £3m bid rejected for Ivorian-born defender Jores Okore. Many will know Okore for being an awesome player on Football Manager.
BT.dk‘s article relating the the Danish International have published the following:
Aston Villa will have the Danish national team defender, but has not initially matched FCN’s price demands.
Tonight is Jores Okore to a Georgian offensive of European soft between the trade.
But in a few months can Okore be matched against some of the world’s best strikers in the Premier League. The interest from numerous Premier League clubs have long been present for the strong central defender, but now there is at least the country a definite offer from one of the suitors.
BT understands that Aston Villa have approached with an offer that would be about three million. pounds (about 26.1 million. DKK), but the parties are still at a distance from each other. Villa has far from given up trying to retrieve FC Nordsjælland profile and interact with FCN about the price. Right now awaiting this year’s silver winners what comes of the new bid from the Premier League club.
Aston Villa’s manager, Paul Lambert, is eyeing on Okore which, he believes, may stabilize Villas defensive. Villa ended the season on a disappointing 15 space and closed as many as 69 goals during the season’s 38 Premier League matches. It was only the three relegated, which closed more goals into the season.
FCN-defense’s agent Nikola Juric, have not heard from FCN on the tender.
- I assume that the club takes hold of me, if there is a bid that it will accept. Until then we take it quietly. There is plenty of time in relation to a club transfer.
Jores Okore is like his agent nor been informed of Villa bid, which is normal, as long as FCN has not accepted it.
But he admits that Premier League is the dream destination.
- There have been brought so many clubs on the field, but Aston Villa sounds interesting. I can not really relate to a club before I get any more, but the Premier League is a league that will suit me very well. Physical, tempo and in terms of level, I think that I can help. So we’ll see what happens, said Okore last night before the team’s training in Aalborg.
Aston Villa to be up with a much higher amount to wrest him free of the Danish silver winners. But it smells like a club transfer this summer.
- I’ve made no secret that I’m ready for a change, and it could be incredibly exciting to be able to try to play in the Premier League. I think myself that I showed that I could be on the high level in the Champions League, said Okore last night.
Who is Jores Okore?
Jores Okore (born 11 August 1992) is an Ivorian-born Danish footballer. He plays at centre back for F.C. Nordsjælland in the Danish Superliga. Okore has 3 senior caps for Denmark, as well as 3 youth caps playing for Danish U21s.
Okore is considered a capable and aggressive defender, who is calm on the ball and a good reader of the game, with leadership qualities.
